I think John Deere makes a good dozer seeing more around me all the time. If your going to doze in heavy timber I wouldn't want the 6 way blade its aright for dirt work and small timber. I always heard them called brush guard, don't know if thats the right name what JD uses.

The one we're looking at doesn't have them, but we think we need them. I always thought they were called limb risers, or sweeps, but I can't find them on the Deere parts website. Not sure those would be big enough for dirt work. My bil has been running a 700 or 750 pushing trees, he likes the hydro over gears. Getting to be more Deere in the oilfield.
